Tennis For Troops - Davis Cup

Over 150 members of the Armed Forces and their families have been given the chance to support the AEGON GB Davis Cup team in their forthcoming Davis Cup tie by BNP Paribas against Luxembourg at the Braehead Arena in Glasgow from July 8-10 2011.

The donation is part of the continued support the charity receives from the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) which has provided tickets for troops to attend the AEGON Classic, AEGON International and AEGON Championships this summer.

Roger Draper, Chief Executive of the LTA said: "It's a great privilege for us to do what we can to support our Armed Forces. Tickets For Troops is an excellent charity that provides a good opportunity for us to get behind our Armed Forces."

Tickets For Troops was set up to last year to provide tickets for all servicemen and injured veterans for major sporting, music and theatre events. So far nearly 100,000 members of the Armed Forces have registered with the website Tickets For Troops and over 250,000 tickets have been donated and distributed to troops across the country.

The AEGON GB Davis Cup team will play Luxembourg at the Braehead Arena from July 8-10 in Europe/Africa Zone Group II of the competition.   The tie will be broadcast by British Eurosport and will be streamed live on the LTA website.  For more information please visit the LTA website.

Troops are encouraged to go online and book tickets at Tickets For Troops.
