Tickets for Troops is delighted to have teamed up with Vauxhall Middlesex Charity Sevens to provide members of the armed forces 100 free tickets to the Sevens on Saturday 9th July at Twickenham Stadium. These tickets will be made available on the Tickets for Troops website, www.ticketsfortroops.org.uk, to troops who are currently serving or who have been medically discharged since 2001. These tickets will allow members of the armed forces and their families to escape from the stresses that are often associated with the work they do.
Teams include 7s experts, Samurai International including Fijian international William Rider, London Scottish and the traditional favorite British Army 7s side. This year sees the Brazilian national side competing for the first time and raising awareness of 7s being a new Olympic sport in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
Off the pitch the fancy dress is not compulsory but always
welcome. This year's theme is 'What I want to be when I grow up'.
Prizes and competitions run throughout the day between matches. As
Josh Lewsey says,
"The Middlesex Sevens should be a date in every rugby fan's diary. It's a great family day out with a great tradition."
